Homeownership Readiness
for Public Housing

Review, marketing and updating of screening public housing residence for home ownership:

We have assisted housing authorities and other providers of affordable housing in the redesign and updating of their home buying program for low to moderate income families.

Resident Training on Credit Readiness for Home Ownership

The Homeownership Readiness Program (H.O.P.E. – Housing Opportunities for People Enhancement )is designed for buyers who need a little more time to get ready for a home purchase. It is a client driven program that allows motivated prospective buyers to start the homeownership process while taking the time needed to save money or work on minor to moderate credit issues. If your PHA would like to assist your residence with transitioning from public housing to homeownership within four to twelve months, the H.O.P.E. may be the right program your agency.

FHA Staff Training

We train PHA staff on the basic steps of developing a successful affordable housing product that meets the residents housing needs. We also train staff on how to utilize several down payment and closing cost programs to assist first-time home owners and we secure groundwork for new project managers as well as providing Executive Directors and Board Members a base of knowledge that will allow them to adequately follow the development process.

We have designed a proven strategy to assist with barriers of financial well-being through our unique self -help credit repair program. This includes a complete evaluation of the resident’s financial status and credit readiness. This service is designed specifically for your PHA. This program was designed to increase clients’ credit score and reduce their debt-to-income (DTI) by providing life-long financial skills. Our sessions address savings, credit and debt barriers; using the latest industry tools, techniques and resources.
